The People Building the Future of Trustworthy AI
AIClarum's founders combine deep government policy experience, academic AI research, and enterprise regulatory practice.
Founding Team
Three founders with the unique backgrounds to solve AI transparency at the intersection of policy, engineering, and regulation.
Lisa Anderson
Chief Executive Officer & Co-Founder
From the White House to the AI Transparency Frontier
Lisa Anderson spent five years at the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy, where she served as a senior policy director focused on emerging technology governance. In that role, she co-authored the Blueprint for an AI Bill of Rights — the foundational US government framework for responsible AI deployment that influenced AI policy globally.
Witnessing firsthand how organizations struggled to operationalize these principles — not from lack of intent, but lack of tooling — Lisa left OSTP in 2024 to build the infrastructure she had always wished existed. At AIClarum, she leads overall strategy, regulatory partnerships, and customer relationships with regulated enterprises.
She holds a JD from Yale Law School and an MS in Computer Science from Stanford University, giving her the rare ability to reason simultaneously about legal obligation and technical capability.
Thomas Berg
Chief Technology Officer & Co-Founder
The Engineer Behind Explainable AI at Scale
Thomas Berg spent a decade as a research scientist at IBM Research, where he worked within the Explainable AI (XAI) team. During that time, he was instrumental in developing the production-scale implementations of LIME and SHAP that were adopted by over 2,000 data science teams worldwide through IBM's AI Fairness 360 and AI Explainability 360 open-source toolkits.
Thomas saw that while the algorithms for explainability existed, the infrastructure to run them reliably at enterprise production scale — with low latency, complete audit storage, and framework-agnostic compatibility — did not. At AIClarum, he leads all platform engineering, API design, and the development of the company's core explainability infrastructure.
He holds an MS in Applied Mathematics from ETH Zurich and a PhD in Machine Learning from Carnegie Mellon University.
Diana Okonkwo
Chief Compliance Officer & Co-Founder
15 Years at the Intersection of AI and Regulation
Diana Okonkwo is one of the foremost experts on AI regulatory compliance in the world. Over a 15-year career spanning Brussels, London, and Washington, she has advised governments, standards bodies, and enterprises on the practical implementation of AI governance frameworks. She was a contributor to the technical annexes of the EU AI Act and has served as an expert witness in AI-related litigation.
Her consulting work has helped some of the world's largest banks, insurance companies, and healthcare systems establish AI governance programs that satisfy regulators in multiple jurisdictions simultaneously. At AIClarum, Diana leads the design of all compliance templates, regulatory partnerships, and customer advisory engagements.
She is a recognized expert in GDPR, ISO 42001, NIST AI RMF, and sector-specific AI regulations across healthcare, financial services, and employment.
